Dan Stubbs has been reappointed as the Victorian Disability Worker Commissioner.

With his lived experience of disability being blind, together with his extensive experience working alongside people with disability, including national and international work as a lawyer leading innovation and advocacy, Dan Stubbs is uniquely placed to ensure services for people with disability are safe and of the highest quality.

The Victorian Disability Worker Commission, led by Dan Stubbs, regulates the conduct of Victorian disability workers and delivers the Disability Worker Regulation Scheme. The Commission supports compliance with a Code of Conduct, responds to and investigates complaints about disability workers, and the Commissioner has the power to ban unsafe workers. The Commission also supports the administration of Australia’s first registration scheme for disability workers, with the Disability Worker Registration Board of Victoria.

Dan said: “I am thrilled to be reappointed as Commissioner. I look forward to continuing to help protect, empower and ensure respect for people living with disability in our state.”
