This guide is designed to provide direction to disability service providers in their support of young people with intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorder who show sexualised behaviours of concern.
Provides information to support workers to effectively assist individuals with their daily management of diabetes. Students will learn how to check and record blood sugar levels and will learn strategies to manage a person with diabetes in an emergency situation. Students will also be able to identify the different types of diabetes, causes and symptoms.
This microcredential develops the knowledge to understand the types of diabetes and their medical management. Common diabetic emergencies, medications, complications of diabetes and strategies for management of diabetes including lifestyle measures are discussed. Participants will practice and demonstrate the skill of blood glucose testing and recording. The training is competency based.
