This course is an accredited program based on the International Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) guidelines. This course is suitable for any adult who is providing initial support to another adult with a mental health (psychological safety) concern or experiencing a mental health crisis.
The NDIA’s ‘Complex Support Needs Pathway’ can provide a higher level of specialised support for participants who have a diversity of challenges such as mental health issues, incarceration or homelessness. It’s estimated up to 15% of NDIS Participants require complex support. Knowing how to support access to the Complex Support Needs Pathway is essential for Support Coordinators, Service Providers and Team Leaders working with this group.
The positive behaviour support (PBS) learning program is designed to provide DAS staff with a solid understanding of positive behaviour support.
This self-study eLearning course provides critical information to anyone in roles where physical intervention may lead to the application of physical restraint.
