Communication is key! This module introduces a range of strategies Support Workers can use to support people to express themselves. It outlines common communication aids and how to support someone to share their feedback or make a complaint.
This course covers 10 step-by-step manual handling techniques and common manual handling equipment as well as s the basics of manual handling principles and how to reduce the risk of injury when moving people or objects. It explores how the NDIS Code of Conduct applies to safety and choice when supporting people to move and takes a practical approach to risk assessment strategies, examining how building capacity and empowering the people we are supporting can deliver better outcomes for everyone.
We'll dip into ways to manage your time, stop the distractions and meet your billable hours target.
