This workshop is designed to support individuals working with people with Autism and carers/family/friends in the community. This course will equip you to understand autism, respond effectively and implement support strategies within the support work framework encompassing positive behaviour support and inclusion.
This course will help you become conscious of good support practices while also recognising when you may be using poor practices. They will also help you understand types of abuse and control and how to recognise any instances of abuse. Throughout the course, you will also realise how important it is to promote the rights of people with disability and ensure they have the freedom to exercise their rights.

This training is designed specifically for support workers to develop the essential knowledge and skills required to assist participants to manage their urinary elimination needs via a catheter or external drainage device. The trainer will demonstrate the management of different types of catheters and external drainage devices and discuss potential complications.
