This qualification reflects the roles of community services, case management and social housing workers involved in the managing, co-ordinating and/or delivering of person-centred services to individuals, groups and communities. Spinal Cord Injuries Australia (SCIA) and Accessible Accommodation have come together to create a training course to help accommodation providers feel confident welcoming guests with accessibility needs.
This training teaches the principles of key word sign and gesture, who it can be used with and how it can be used alongside other ways of communicating. You will understand how key word sign is different to Auslan.
