Disability Safe is a comprehensive and applied program consisting of eight individual e-learning modules. The program has been designed to enhance the quality of disability services through safe work practices. It focuses on developing and expanding knowledge and understanding, in creating and participating in safe workplace environments.
Each of these units covers various driving situations and offers practical strategies to help improve driving skills such as driving to reduce risk, vehicle dynamics, merging and traffic flow, reversing, and safe following distances.
Exploring manual handling techniques to support people with disability, this course helps support workers understand hazardous manual tasks and how to manage the associated risks. With interactive activities and a video library of 33 videos, this course will equip support workers with the knowledge and skills to assist clients.
This two (2) day (7 hours total) training will assist workers to identify symptoms of compassion fatigue, burnout, vicarious trauma, and secondary traumatic stress and to enable them to utilise tools and strategies to prevent and manage compassion fatigue, burnout, vicarious trauma and secondary traumatic stress.
