The Disability Worker Registration Board of Victoria and the Victorian Disability Worker Commission consulted on proposed changes to the disability worker registration standards in Victoria from 11 November until 13 December 2024. The three registration standards reviewed were:
- Criminal history
- English language requirements
- Continuing professional development (also known as CPD)
The Board and Commission are considering the feedback received, which will inform the final changes to the registration standards. A consultation report outlining the feedback received and how it informed the changes to the registration standards will be released in the first half of 2025. The amended registration standards will be published prior to the 2025-26 registration period.
